Throughout my MA in Illustration at Kingston School of Art, I have cultivated a keen interest in narrating Irish stories through the perspectives of climate, ecology, and landscape. My projects have explored the natural world, delved into our rich folklore, and ventured into themes of food and exploration.
Decay of the Neagh, MA Illustration project
This project combined Irish weaving techniques with gathered stories from locals, mythology, songs and memories of the area. The lough is currently dying due to pollution and climate change and I use making techniques to highlight the rich oral history and communities around the area.
There’s Room for Everyone Under Brigid’s Cloak, Herstory
I was selected by Herstory to be showcased among other artists for the St Brigid’s Day celebrations. These were illuminated on landmarks in Dublin and Kildare.
The Night Market
This personal project was an A-Z of markets, focusing on different cultural foods.
